Overweight horses and horses which are at risk of laminitis often suffer from the consequences of disturbed sugar and insulin metabolism. For these horses in particular, it is important to make sure they get sufficient minerals since the metabolism of sugar and insulin is dependent of a good supply of B vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, zinc, manganese and chromium (III). In order to protect the body against insulin resistance, decreased circulation and damage to the dermis of the hoof with the accompanying fatal consequences of laminitis, Brandon® plus metabolicum offers the ideal combination of PSB® complexes (functional cellular building blocks), vegetable nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

Vital cell protective substances such as vitamin E and selenium combined with functional nutrients from brewer's yeast, artichoke, sea algaes and herbs support the metabolism of insulin and protect dermis of the hoof against the risk of inflammation. Added to this are PSB® complexes (functional cellular building blocks) which promote the absorption of the functional nutrients and speed up the regeneration of damaged tissue.

  • for equine metabolic syndrome (EMS)
  • reduces the risk of laminitis
  • for acute laminitis to promote circulation
  • supports the liver metabolism
  • improves the glucose tolerance factor
